Our Purpose
We publish plain-English educational guides about VA disability, healthcare, and survivor benefits for U.S. veterans, spouses, and families affected by mesothelioma and asbestos exposure. We are an educational publication — not a law firm, medical provider, claims service, or lead-generation business.
Sourcing Standards
- Every article cites official primary sources — VA.gov, benefits.va.gov, the Code of Federal Regulations (Title 38), Cancer.gov/NCI, CDC/NIOSH, SSA.gov, and Medicare.gov — and reputable medical organizations such as the American Cancer Society and Mayo Clinic.
- We do not link to law-firm lead-generation sites, settlement-solicitation pages, or “free case evaluation” funnels.
- Dollar figures that change annually (compensation rates, pension limits, grant amounts) are always dated (“as of 2026”) and linked to the official VA rate page.
Accuracy, Reviews, and Updates
Articles are reviewed against current official sources before publication and display their most recent review date. When the VA changes a rule, form, or rate that affects an article, we update the article and refresh its review date.
