Every article is built on primary official sources first. In practice that means:
- Government sources: VA.gov, benefits.va.gov, the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR Title 38), cancer.gov, cdc.gov, and ssa.gov are our starting points for rules, rates, eligibility criteria, and program details.
- Medical background: for health context on mesothelioma and asbestos-related disease, we rely on reputable medical organizations such as the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, and the Mayo Clinic.
- Citation depth: each article should draw on several authoritative sources — not a single page, and never secondhand summaries alone.
- What we will not cite: law-firm marketing sites and other commercially motivated pages are not acceptable sources for benefits or medical claims on this site.
Accuracy and Review
