Who We Are
Djvi — the VA Mesothelioma & Asbestos Benefits Guide — is an independent editorial project that publishes plain-English education about VA benefits for U.S. veterans, spouses, and families affected by mesothelioma and asbestos exposure. We are a small team of benefits writers and researchers, and everything we publish is free to read. We sell nothing, we capture no leads, and we ask for nothing from you except your attention.

Why This Site Exists
If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with mesothelioma or another asbestos-related illness after military service, you have probably already discovered the problem we are trying to solve: the information you need is scattered across dozens of government pages, written in regulatory jargon, and buried in acronyms. Families in the middle of a serious diagnosis do not have time to decode Title 38 — they need clear, calm, accurate explanations of what benefits exist, who qualifies, and how the process actually works.
There is a second problem. Many of the sites that rank highly for these topics are law-firm lead generators — pages built to collect your contact information and sell it or route it to a firm. We are not one of them. Djvi has no contact forms, no “free case evaluation” buttons, no phone numbers to call, and no relationships with law firms, claims companies, or treatment centers. We exist only to explain.
What We Cover
Our guides focus on five areas:
